Guided Tours, Planetarium Show, and Activity Classes

Museum tours may be reserved for Scout troops during the weekday. Guided tours on the weekend are subject to tour guide availability. Groups may attend a planetarium show on weekdays or weekends. Activity classes are available weekdays, Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Activity classes are listed in the Education Guide.

Boy Scout Merit Badge

A variety of Boy Scout badge programs are available and include Aviation, Space Exploration, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation and Citizenship in the World

  • Classes are held on a Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
  • Cost is $30 per scout, including lunch.
  • Minimum class size is ten Scouts, maximum 60. Two leaders are required to attend with the group.
  • Reservations are required. Please have a couple of dates in mind when making reservations. For reservations contact Paige Lee at (918) 834-9900 ext. 116 or plee@tulsamuseum.com.
  • One person should submit payment at the time of your visit.

Scouts Should Bring

  • The application for merit badge, BSA No. 34124 (blue form) signed by the unit leader.
  • Notebook for notes.
  • Uniform: Wear the BSA official uniform. Do not wear the merit badge sash.

Girl Scout Proficiency Badges

Programs for a Girl Scout Proficiency Badge is three hours in length. Reservations are required.

  • Earth and Sky Try-It:
    Activities and a planetarium show
  • Aerospace Junior Badge:
    Activities and a museum tour
  • Sky Search Junior Badge:
    Activities and a planetarium show

Cub Scout Belt Loop

Science Belt Loop and Astronomy Belt Loop are offered. Scouts meet the three requirements for the belt Loop and attend a planetarium show. Program is two hours in length. Reservations are required.

A minimum group size of ten participants is required to receive discounted rates. One chaperone per 10 Scouts is required. One person must submit payment at the time of your visit. Membership admission and coupons are not valid with the group programs. Admission rates and programs are subject to change at any time.
