New Events in the
Museum & Planetarium!
Tales of
the Maya Skies
November
19, 2011

10pm
On Thursday, November 19,
2011, TASM will present local professor and anthropologist Dr. Ben Kracht for a brief lecture on Mayan culture and
its ties to astronomy. Shortly following, we will premiere
the full-dome show, "Tales of the Maya Skies".
Immerse yourself in the
beauty of Chichén Itzá,
Mexico,
the “seventh wonder of the modern world.” Listen to the story of
the ancient Maya civilization. Experience Tales of the Maya Skies.

Inspiring youth to aim
for the
stars!
Mini Camps
at TASM
A 1-day aviation mini-camp
is available the day before Thanksgiving. The November 23 camp will
be divided into two age groups, providing hands-on activities and
fun for students in grades 1-6.
There are also two 1-day
camps available in December before the holidays!
The December 21 camp
provides campers an opportunity to explore tinkering with tools as
well as toys and the December 22 camp focuses on weather
investigating wind, precipitation, air pressure, and storms while
performing cool experiments!

Robotics
Club
TASManiac members
will go to competition November 12 at Memorial High
School. The theme this year is
Food Factor, which identifies food contamination, and requires
participants to program a robot to accomplish certain tasks for
varying points during competition.
Everyone is welcome to
support the team!

on the ramp at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium
(weather permitting). Santa lands at 8:30am and breakfast is
served from 8am - 9am. Children 12 & under receive a gift
from Santa, PLUS participate in fun craft activities. Then,
you'll get to attend the 9:30am and 10:00am planetarium shows
including a "star show" tracking Santa's flight.
